Qld: Man dies after taxi accident
Police say a man died in hospital yesterday after a taxi passenger pulled on the handbrake,
sending the cab spinning into a power pole in Brisbane's west.
A police spokesman says the accident happened just after 6am (AEST) on Sumners Road at Durack.
He says the taxi driver and two passengers escaped from the wreck without serious injury.
But two other passengers were taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
A 31-year-old man of Shorncliffe, just north of Brisbane, later died.
No other detsils are available yet.
